My first attempt at the drag strip and my car did not dead hook out of the hole. I did not know the track had flooded the previous day. They made a good attempt to prep the track but due to humidity the track appeared to still have moisture. I could feel the car spinning out of the hole and down the track. The track did not discriminate even those with huge slicks were spinning. Seeing that the track wasn’t getting any better I decided to pack it up and try again another day. Although I practiced the line lock, burn out procedures, and transbrake, I still left there feeling like i should’ve practiced more. My first run was my best run, and I used the transbrake. There was no way the tires would hook on that track. The 2nd run I messed up while using the transbrake. The third run i footbraked the vehicle. I truly believe the power is there in this car to run in the 9’s. The problem that needs to be solved is getting the tires to hook. I know what my cousin Vincent (who is a bracket racer) would say “put some slicks on it”. Hmm?
