After a night of racing at both Xtreme Raceway Park and Texas Motorplex, I was able to meet a guy who was attempting to break the record time of 8.95 seconds for the fastest bolt on Mustang. After missing the mark by running an 8.97 seconds he asked if I would race him in my Dodge Demon to see how they compare. All night I had been practicing on cutting a good light and red lighted during the race. Although I red lighted, he was still able to pass me running a 9.045 second pass. This is the fastest Mustang I have raced to date, which was a lot of fun. In comparison, that night I ran against what I believe is a stock Mustang that ran a 12.152 second 1/4 mile. I wish him well and I’m sure he will break the record of the fastest bolt on Mustang in the near future.
