In my research to find out the best race fuel for my Dodge Demon I found some information regarding several different fuels. The manual stated to use 100 octane unleaded fuel with up to 15% ethanol, however I have seen people use up to 116 leaded and I myself have used 105 unleaded (VP MS109). I have come to the conclusion that higher octane fuels does not yield better performance if the vehicle is not tuned for higher octane levels. Also higher octane level fuels are more expensive, anywhere from $17-18/gal. I will be testing the race fuel on the same dyno I used previously to get the most accurate comparison that I can between the VP MS109 (105 octane) and the less expensive Sunoco 260 GT (100 octane).
